General Information
- Provides a monthly grant (check) and medical assistance to refugees in need for up to eight months after arrival into the U.S.
- Medicaid benefits are automatically provided to persons included in the grant
Eligibility
- Refugee in the U.S. for eight months or less
- Must establish Virginia residency
- Refugees with minor children must qualify for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Face to face interview is required
- Chest x-ray required from Public Health Division
